Administration

Chaney brings extensive experience in education, including serving as a middle school science teacher and school administrator. He has served the St. Joseph School District in multiple roles, including at Robidoux Middle School, Webster Learning Center, and Central High School. He also served as an assistant principal in the Independence School District before returning to St. Joseph. His experience across multiple grade levels, including alternative education, provides a strong foundation to support students, families, and staff at Webster Learning Center, where he will serve as principal beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

Chaney is currently pursuing his doctorate through William Woods University. He holds a Specialist degree in School Superintendency and a Master’s degree in K–12 Educational Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education with concentrations in mathematics and science, all from Northwest Missouri State University.

He is committed to fostering strong relationships with students, families, and staff and values collaboration with both building- and district-level teams to ensure high-quality learning experiences for all students. As a resident of the St. Joseph community, Chaney is dedicated to supporting student success and contributing to the continued growth and strength of the district.
